Antonio Severi
Antonio Severi is an Italian-American industrial designer based in Switzerland. He founded his studio in 2024, after completing his master’s degree in Product Design at ECAL.
Antonio’s design approach is driven by a commitment to material exploration and sustainability. In his work, he tames highly technical elements to integrate them into the domestic realm, bridging the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing innovation.
His affinity for the rugged makes him adaptable to diverse cultural and environmental contexts, navigating local constraints and transforming them into strengths for his projects. With a focus on the lifecycle of each object, Antonio prioritizes material separability, crafting designs that can be easily assembled, disassembled, and recycled. He is winner of the 2024 Tramplin Prize and his work ranges from limited-edition pieces, to consultancy commissions, and various projects for clients such as Horgenglarus, Decathlon, and High Above.
In 2023, Antonio spent over a month in Beirut for a collaborative project with Exil Collective. During this time, he immersed himself in both Lebanese culture and the intricacies of the sand casting process, generating a varied collection of objects – launching at House of Switzerland during Salone del Mobile 2025.
